നീലിമയേറിയ വേനല്‍ക്കാലരാവുകളില്‍
ഊടുവഴികളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകും ഞാന്‍,
കതിര്‍മുള്ളുകളേറ്റ്, പുല്‍നാമ്പുകളില്‍ ചവിട്ടി:
കിനാവുകണ്ടും, കാലടിയില്‍ കുളിരറിഞ്ഞും,
നഗ്നമാംശിരസ്സില്‍ തെന്നലിന്‍തലോടലേല്‍ക്കും
വാക്കൊന്നുമുരിയാടാതെ, ചിന്തയറ്റങ്ങനെ
അതിരറ്റസ്നേഹം നിറയുമെന്റാത്മാവില്‍,
എവിടേക്കെന്നില്ലാതെ ദൂരങ്ങള്‍താണ്ടി
ഭൂമിയില്‍ നാടോടിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാനലയും—
പെണ്ണൊപ്പമുള്ളവനിലെ അതേ ആനന്ദത്തോടെ.

സ്വപ്നത്തില്‍ ഞാനാത്തണുപ്പെന്‍റെ കാലിലറിയും,
കാറ്റെന്‍റെ കൈകളെ നനയ്ക്കും.
മിണ്ടില്ലയൊന്നുമാലോചിക്കില്ല
അവസാനമില്ലാത്ത സ്നേഹമാത്മാവിലപ്പോഴു-
മെവിടെ നിന്നോ കുമിഞ്ഞു കൂടും
യാത്ര ചെയ്യും ദൂരെദൂരേക്ക്, ജിപ്സിയെപ്പോലെ
ഗ്രാമങ്ങള്‍ കടന്നുപോകും,
അവളൊപ്പമുള്ളപ്പോഴുള്ളത്ര ആനന്ദത്തോടെ.
